# Backrow vs Mentimeter

Mentimeter and Backrow both let a room vote and ask questions from their phones. The difference is who makes the presentation and whose design it has.

Mentimeter is a widely used interactive presentation tool from Sweden, founded in 2014. You build presentations in its editor from its slide types: multiple choice, word cloud, open questions, scales, ranking, Q&A and quizzes. It has AI features and an official connector for Claude and ChatGPT that creates and edits presentations.
