Questions and answers
How are phones counted?
Per question slide and per session: the phones that answer it. Up to 200 phones it costs 2 credits, up to 1,000 it costs 5. A phone that only watches costs nothing.
What if more people come than I planned?
The room is never stopped. When more than 200 phones answer a question, the difference is booked afterwards, even when your balance goes below zero. On Pro, a room that grows past 200 phones is not stopped either; if it happens often, Team fits better.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Credits suit a few talks a month. The calculator shows when a subscription becomes cheaper.
Can I get a refund?
Unused credit packs: a full refund within 14 days. A monthly plan stops at the end of any month. A yearly plan is refunded pro rata in its first 30 days, and never renews without a reminder 30 days before.
VAT and invoices?
Prices exclude VAT. Customers in Belgium pay 21% VAT; companies elsewhere in the EU with a VAT number pay none (reverse charge). Every purchase comes with an invoice by email.
How can I pay?
By card, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit or Apple Pay, through Stripe. Backrow never sees your card.
Can my AI assistant buy credits?
Your assistant tells you what a presentation costs and gives you a payment link. It never pays: you pay in your own browser.
Where is my data?
In the EU, on Google Cloud in Belgium. You choose how long answers are kept, and you can export or delete everything.
Can I use Backrow with customers?
Yes, on every plan: customer events, trade shows, webinars and sales talks, without an extra license.
A discount for education or nonprofits?
Schools and universities get their own prices: see Education. Nonprofits, write to us.

Questions and answers
What counts as one event?
Everything you run in Backrow’s event program over up to 3 days: every talk, room and screen in it. The package starts when the first phone joins; rehearsals are free.
How are rooms and talks counted?
Rooms are the rooms that run at the same time; talks are the talks in the running order. People are the phones that answer in one talk.
What if more people come than my package holds?
The room is never stopped. If more phones answer than your package holds, we book the next package’s difference afterwards.
Do speakers need an account?
No. They get a link from you, sign in with Google and upload their own slides. They see only their own talk.
Can I get a refund?
A full refund until the first phone joins your event.

Prices exclude VAT; Belgian customers pay 21%, EU companies with a VAT number pay none. An invoice by email; card, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit or Apple Pay, and bank transfer for Congress.

Questions and answers
Do students pay or need an account?
No. Students join with a QR code or a four-digit code, without an app or an account, and never pay.
When can I start?
Education opens soon. Click “I’m interested” and we tell you first. Until then, the free plan and credits work in class too.
How do you check that I teach?
With your school email address or your school’s registration.
Can a school pay by invoice?
Yes: one invoice for every teacher, by bank transfer; a purchase order number on it if you need one.
Where is the data of my students?
In the EU, on Google Cloud in Belgium. Answers are anonymous unless a student types a name, and you choose how long they are kept.
